Nonprofit staff do remarkable work every day — and then, at reporting time, have to reconstruct it from memory, camera rolls, and scattered spreadsheets. Evidence Core exists so that never has to happen: capture the work as it happens, with near-zero friction, and let the reports build themselves from evidence.

How it works
Staff and volunteers capture evidence the way they already communicate: text a photo to the organization’s number, forward an email, record a voice memo, or use the web capture screen — under two minutes, bilingual (English and 中文), from any phone. The system accepts chaos as input; structuring it is the system’s job.
An AI pipeline reads what was captured and drafts structured records — attendance figures, program metrics, participant quotes, stories — but nothing becomes real until a human confirms it. Every draft waits in a review queue; every number traces back to its source. From confirmed evidence, the organization can generate newsletters, monthly and annual reports, event reports, flyers, and grant application drafts — each assembled only from material cleared for that audience.
What we believe
- The work deserves to be captured where it happens — not retyped into forms at a desk three weeks later.
- AI structures; humans decide. Nothing the AI produces is published or committed without human confirmation, and corrections teach the system.
- Consent is enforced, not promised. Every piece of evidence carries a visibility scope — internal, funder reports, or public — and the system enforces it mechanically: a public newsletter physically cannot include material that wasn’t cleared for the public. Sensitive programs (like a mental-health warmline) are restricted to counts only, in code.
- The data belongs to the organization. Full export at any time — every record and every original file — with no lock-in.
One system, three views
Evidence Core is one system seen through three lenses: Evidence (the library of confirmed material and the reports built from it), People (who may act, in what role, with what consent), and Workflow (the queue of work moving from capture to confirmation to publication). Behind them sits one idea:
Intent directs people through workflow, and workflow produces evidence that shows whether intent is being fulfilled.
Who it’s for
Community-serving nonprofits — especially bilingual organizations whose story lives in two languages at once. Evidence Core launched with two starting partners: the Mental Health Association for Chinese Communities (MHACC · 美国华裔精神健康联盟) and the Kindness Network (善意网络), whose staff capture program evidence in English and Chinese interchangeably.
